Fees and Regulations – Tourist Bus ZTL
The Municipality of Montepulciano established the Tourist Bus ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) covering the town centre of Montepulciano by Resolution no. 261 of 18/11/2024. Within the ZTL, tourist buses are prohibited from stopping. However, buses wishing to allow passengers to board and alight in Montepulciano town centre must submit an Online Notification and pay a fee exclusively by digital means via the PagoPA system.

The following are exempt from payment: scheduled public transport, school buses, public security vehicles, artists involved in local events, and other categories expressly authorised by the Administration. Buses passing through the ZTL without stopping are also exempt.

Controls and Penalties
Violations of the Disciplinary Rules are subject to an administrative fine of € 150.00, in addition to any penalties provided for under the Highway Code. Enforcement is carried out by the Municipal Police.
